Virus Scan

My current software (McAfee) could use an update, but I’m debating between updating or moving to a new product. Anyone have recommendations for a virus scanner?

(I also run ZoneAlarm, but I wouldn’t mind replacing that as well since the latest (free) version has never-ending nag screens. I know that most virus software also offer versions bundled with other security controls like firewalls.)

  2. . But I just bought the regular version for my home computer too. Ordering from Amazon it will cost me a whopping $3 after rebates.

  3. s software as well as some fairly complex firewall-y sorts of doo dads.

Overall, I liked it, though it seemed like my 1.4 GHz laptop ran slower than the Pentium IIs we have peppered throughout the Factory.

Since reloading my laptop, I’ve gone to just using Norton Anti-Virus. The performance issues seem to have evaporated, though in all fairness, the repair for my laptop did involve replacing the motherboard so god only knows what was really going on…

  4. ll. So far, so good. I like the way it updates itself every so often.
