I was wondering if it would happen here, and it has: comment spam.
Not only are spammers blasting away at e-mail address, they have also discovered blogs and have written ‘bots to search out WordPress and MovableType powered sites and drop spam in entry comments.
To combat this I have made a couple of changes to my comments. For starters, there are some setting in WordPress that I have tighten up. I have also just installed the WordPress BlackList Plugin. Finally, after a post has been up for a few days I will simply disable commenting.
