And we’re back.

The weekend move went well, but it was tough. We definitely own too much stuff.

Friday I moved the race car and most of the garage (race car bits and pieces). The van and trailer were pretty much over their load limit, but everything made it just fine. And while I moved the car, Sarah had a GMC Yukon full of boxes.

Saturday was the Big Move. I picked up a 26′ truck Friday night, and by 9:30 a.m. Saturday, we had begun to load. And load we did, every inch of the available 312″ was filled chest high. Plus, we filled the Yukon again, a pickup truck and two cars. I would love to know the total tonnage of stuff we own.

Sarah’s dad and uncle, Ryan and Mark did way more work than we could believe. These guys busted their asses to get us moved. We can’t thank them enough. Also a big thanks to Renee (and congradulations on buying her first house) to helping us unload in Rochester.

In the end, I could hardly move. Sunday and Monday was an unpacking nightmare, but things are slowly getting squared away.

And after having and moving so much stuff, you wouldn’t think we’d need to buy anything; and yet, off to Target we went for some storage bins.

If I never move again that will be fine with me.

And I don’t see any need to. Having been in the house only 4 nights, we are already in love with it. It’s proving to be very comfortable and liveable.
