From Wonderland to Tomahna
Wonderland has been restored.
After not too much time and difficulty I finished off American McGee’s Alice last night, though I will admit to cheating a bit on the last few levels. I simply didn’t have the patience to retry some of the sections over and over. So, I turned on “notarget” and ran through a couple of the tougher sections.
Near the end of the game there is a level with endless card cards pounding down while you try to run across a narrow walkway. I attempted it a couple of times with vary degrees of success before I opted to just have the guards ignore me.
Surprisingly the Queen of Hearts (the final boss) wasn’t that difficult to beat. It took a few tries, but I made it through without much fuss. I must say though, for all the twisted Wonderland imagery I didn’t get the Queen. She really didn’t look anything like a Queen of Hearts - not even in a super twisted sort of way. I was a bit disappointed with that.
And now that I am out of Wonderland, Xmas brought me Myst IV: Revelation. I really enjoy the casual exploration of the Myst games and am looking forward to this newest chapter. I’ve played all of the games except Uru, which I heard isn’t that good (though it’s got to be better than Riven).
By the way, Myst IV came with Exile, which I already have. Any of my local friends interest in Myst III: Exile, or Alice?

(not that I have the time, and I’d have to fight J for the computer, but)
I’m interested in the Myst game; I loved the first one and always meant to get back to them again someday.

Are the games for Mac, PC or a game system of some kind?
