16 Weeks
Sarah went in for her 16 week checkup today and reports that she is perfect. (I’m inclined to agree.) Baby’s heartbeat is still at the 150ish beats-per-minute; mom’s blood pressure and relevant measurements are all spot on.
Meanwhile, Lizard (our nickname for The Baby – it drives my mom nuts and I’m sure I’ll catch hell for it here…) has furniture. It got a couple of heirlooms over the holiday break.
First up is a tiny rocking chair that belonged to my mom. We are pretty sure that her grandpa, Christian Jorgensen, made it. The only work done to it is new cane for the seat, which my parents had done a few years ago. It’s absolutely beautiful:

Sarah’s aunt also brought over the Fullington family crib. Her dad and all of his siblings, plus pretty much all of their kids (including Sarah) have sleep in it. Now we get to add our wee one. I’m pretty geeked about that. (I’ll get a picture up later. I’ve got some “room-remodel-in-progress” shots.)
The only other baby-related thing at the moment is that we have, as noted, begun remodeling it’s room. OK, we’ve only ripped up the ugly teal carpet, but it’s a start.

You are right about lizzard, don’t like the name, not for my grandbaby. Nice picture of my rocking chair.

Personally, I love the name Lizard. If it’s a girl, you could name her Lizardbeth. Hardy, har, har!
The rocker is beautiful, and it’s a wonderful thing to have heirlooms to pass down between the generations. Wee Lizard White is a lucky one indeed.

I love Lizard! Then again, my brother’s name for my first niece was “Fetal Fazzari”, so I may not be the best judge.
