Baby Room
The wee little one has a rocker made by it’s great-great-grandpa and a Fullington-family bassinet.
The both look great in the room, especially now that the carpet is gone. What we found underneath is the original floor — 3/4″ tounge-and-groove pine — which sits on top of equally thick tounge-and-groove subflooring. Yes, the floors in our house are 1 1/2″ thick of solid wood.
The floor has been painted brown, which at first looked bad. But, now that we’ve got it cleaned up, I don’t actually mind it that much. I’m sure we will still go ahead with our plans to strip the paint and refinish the floor though. If nothing else, there are some scuffs and gouges that need to be filled and sanded.
Take a peek for yourself at the progress.

have you figured out yet what colors or theme you’ll do for the baby room?

Colors are still up for debate, I am looking at nice bright greens and I think Tim is leaning towards yellow. I think we agree on a “theme” however. I (we) would like to decorate with things from fairy tales, but more a do it yourself rather than pre-planned set from the store.
