The Name Game

All right people, we need names. Currently the Wee Little One is known as, well, Wee Little One or Lizard, but in 74 days (give or take a few) we’ll need actual names.

So what’ve ya got?

Things to think of: last name will be White; initials (S.O.W., for example, would not be so good).

So far (since Dave and Liz had their daughter) we’ve got Flash Mast Funky Pants 3000. Also possible, Her Royal Duchess and Skylon, Destroyer of Worlds.

Comments are open, fire away with some name ideas.

  1. Are you looking for traditional names, or more unusual? I like Thomas or Samuel, but they can’t hold a candle to Flash Mast Funky Pants 3000. :) Maybe Kyra for a girl?

  2. Don’t do this to us. You and Sarah have some names in mind already. Nothing faddy, please, or unusual spellings. Remember the child must live with this name for a looooong time. Check out the White family Bible for names. Eric James, Eric Thor, James Robert, Abigail (Abby) Katherine, Angeline (Angie) Katherine. I will give more later. Love Grandma.

  3. Dude! Gramma just authorized THOR as part of Lizard’s name. No matter what else you choose — be it Abigail or James or Timothy II (electric boogaloo) — you gotta get THOR in there. You just gotta. Better yet, Flash Master Funky Pants 3000 Thor White. It’s a name that’s perfect for a boy or a girl! :-)

[I’ll give some serious suggestions in a bit…]

  4. Alright, here are some of my ideas…

For boys: Aiden, Baxter (middle name), Caleb, Gabriel, Iain or Ian, Jonah or Jonas, Joshua, Mackenzie, Micah, Nicholas, Parker, Quinn (really! seriously!), Roman (middle name), Zachary or Zachariah, and Thor (hey! Gramma said it first!).

For girls: Annaliese (the best flute player I ever knew) or Annaliesa (a modification of the name I made for a character of mine), Aiko (wonderful woman I knew in college - the Japanese Kanji characters mean “Love” & “Child”), Caitlyn or Caitlin (a form of Catherine), Gemma (I say it with a hard “g”, but I think the Italians pronounce it jem-ma.), Grace, Jordan, Phoebe, Piper, Zoe (I think there’s an umlot over the “e”, like this: Zoë) or Zoey.

So, to put them all together…

For a boy: Ian Baxter, Mackenzie Gabriel, Gabriel Thor, Parker Nicholas, Zachary Roman, Caleb Zachariah, Jonas Gabriel, Quinn Parker, Joshua James, Aiden James, Jonah Benjamin, Micah Alexander, Alexander Gabriel

For a girl: Caitlin Grace or Grace Caitlin, Jordan Annaliese, Zoe Grace, Aiko Jordan, Elisabeth Jordan or Jordan Elisabeth, Gemma Phoebe, Piper Grace, Grace Katherine or Katie Grace

Hmmm… “Grace” and “Gabriel” seem to be working well as a middle names, and seem to spoil the whole “initials spell something” problem.

  5. We name our ‘kids’ after our favorite authors or artists, so I’m not going to be any help. ;)

  6. Some more names - Matthew Pergrine, Peter Olney, Conner James,
Annika Jane, Melanie Sue, Amy Sue, Anne Elizabeth.
So there you have a few more names that can be put in the dumpster will a lot of others. You asked and we have delivered.
    Love you
