Modern Computing

The other day I worked from home, a convenience of modern computer networks. Today it dawned on me exactly what I had done:

  1. Fire up laptop, log in to home network
  2. Remote log in to main work network
  3. From network, log in to remote web server
  4. From web server, log back into main work network

In addition, I was also logged into the Exchange mail server. In all, I was logged into 4 or 5 different networks (plus the Internet) at the same time. Oh, and I had a meeting to attend via my cell phone.

And I was actually rather productive.
