Modern Computing
The other day I worked from home, a convenience of modern computer networks. Today it dawned on me exactly what I had done:
- Fire up laptop, log in to home network
- Remote log in to main work network
- From network, log in to remote web server
- From web server, log back into main work network
In addition, I was also logged into the Exchange mail server. In all, I was logged into 4 or 5 different networks (plus the Internet) at the same time. Oh, and I had a meeting to attend via my cell phone.
And I was actually rather productive.
