Backup Solution
So, with all of the digital images we’re taking now, I figure it’s probably time to get serious about backing up the data on 7X’s hard drive. It’s got a 120 GB drive, and currently only about 20 GB needs to be backed up. Even with redundant (daily, weekly and monthly) copies it’s not a lot of storage.
I’ve downloaded SyncBack v3.x for the automation process. While I’ve got room on the current drive in the machine, a second, external backup would be prudent. The Maxtor One Touch II is looking pretty good at the moment.
Anyone have suggestions? Favorite apps, drives, methods? (I was inspired by a LifeHacker article.)

My apps wouldn’t help, since they’re all Mac based.
As for drives, we’ve had good luck with LaCie. Haven’t heard anything bad about Maxtor. I’d want either a USB 2.0 or a FireWire 400 connection - I’m not sure which your computer has. As for methods, I run my backup every night, but then I use my computer a lot. You might not need to backup as often - maybe whenever you download more pics from your camera.
