While it’s not uncommon to see hawks perched on trees or even road signs while driving along the highway, yesterday I saw five, including two pairs, all in about a 2 mile stretch. They were all Coopers or Sharp-shins (I can never tell the two species apart) and absolutely beautiful to see.
Olivia and I spent some time yesterday morning, like so many others, photographing the results of the ice storm. Those photos, and others, have been uploaded.
And I don’t just mean my lack of postings. Something has gone wrong in the WordPress bits; database errors and what not. I guess I’ll try reloading some files and see what happens….
Update: All better. It wasn’t the files but a broken database table. A quick MySQL repair and all seems well.
